Our beginners courses are centred around the RYA Level 1 & 2 qualifications - Start Sailing & Basic Skills. These are our most popular scheduled courses. This course mixes and matches between the funboats and pico’s allowing you to learn the basics in a funboat before tackling the next step up in the fleet, the nations favourite, the pico.
Generally our courses comprise of 2 x 2.5 hour lessons for Level 1 and 4 x 2.5 hour lessons for Level 2 and are regularly run during school holidays at the following times:-
Monday – Thursday mornings 10:00 – 12:30.
Tuesday – Friday afternoons 1:30- 4:00.
Outside school holidays courses can be arranged around you.
Level 1 – Prepares you to assist in sailing a dinghy. - Approx £170 per person per course.
Level 2 - Prepares you to be the person in charge. - Approx £270 per person per course.
Further to our standard beginner courses we also offer a number of Intermediate and advanced courses. These are built around a mixture of both the RYA Level 3
courses and our own experience.
ASS Further Sailing
This is a scheduled course which was developed in house using our experience and customer feedback as its basis. The course is a perfect follow on from your RYA Level 2 qualification allowing you to further enhance your sailing skills! Step up from the basic laser funboat and learn how to sail the Pico’s at speed, fly a spinnaker on the Bahia and trapeze on the Dart 16.
Standard courses consist of 3 x 2.5 hour lessons.
Approx £225 per person per course.
RYA Advanced Courses
RYA Level 3 courses - Day Sailing, Sailing With Spinnakers and Seamanship Skills.
These courses take you beyond the basic skills of Level 2, thus having a Level 2 certificate is a pre-requisite.
Standard courses consist of 2 x 2.5 hour lessons.
All approx £200 per person per course.
High Performance Catamaran/Dinghy Lesson
This course can be ran as a 1 or 2.5 hour course and is designed for competent sailors wishing to learn and develop skills in the following areas:-
Introduction to Catamarans.
High Performance Monohulls.
Approx £50-£85 per person.
Own Boat Tuition
If you want a fast track to understanding your own boat and how to sail it better, then invite us on board! We can assist with dinghies and yachts, speedboats and motor cruisers. (Min 2 hours).
Power or Sail - Approx £85 for 2 hours tuition.
RYA Level 2
The two day course covers all the to day basis. Launch and recovery, safety equipment, navigation, high speed boat handling, close quarters manouvering, man overboard and much more.
Price - Approx £250 per person.
(Max 3 spaces - Ages 12+)
RYA Saftey Boat
This course improves boat handling techniques and the recovery and towing of dinghies, catamarans, windsurfers and disabled powerboats. A pre requisite for an RYA senior instructors course.
Price - Approx £300 per person.
(Must already have an RYA powerboat level 2 certificate - Ages 16+)
The laser funboat is possibly the most stable sailing dinghy ever made. This boat is perfect for a beginner to hire once they have had a small amount of tuition. Seats 2 adults or one adult and two children. All safety kit provided.
Price - £30 one hour, £40 two hours.
The Laser Pico is a fun, durable, confidence-inspiring, rotomolded boat that can be sailed by everyone. It is one step up from the funboat so ideal for course completed entry-level sailors right up to the experienced racer wanting some time on the water. It is equipped with a removable jib. Seats 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 children. All safety kit provided.
Price - £35 one hour, £45 two hours.
The Dart 16 platform provides exciting performance that both the adult and youth sailor can appreciate. The design is exceptionally stable and forgiving based on it's simple, but robust construction. The Dart 16 is a favourite at the top holiday resorts for its simple layout, durability and the ear to ear smiles from guests. Must be a confident sailor & be sailed by two people at all times. Comes with single trapeze. All safety kit provided.
Price - £40 one hour, £60 two hours.
The Laser Bahia is designed with stability, safety and performance in mind. It is created for leisure and ease of use, but not at the expense of performance. Stability and a sturdy hull design make it easy to sail. The Laser Bahia comes with a single line reefable mainsail and furling jib for added sailing comfort in a breeze. It also has a kite for the more experienced sailor. Seats up to 4. All safety kit provided.
Price - £40 one hour, £60 two hours.
Strider Club Catamaran (Parallel)
Parallel is our seven metre catamaran. Available to hire, it is perfect for large groups, a romantic cruise or a family trip. It comes equipped with one of our experienced instructors on board so you can be as much or as little involved in sailing her as you like. On this yacht you can set sail around the beautiful Abersoch bay, circumnavigating the islands where you may see the local wildlife, including dolphins, seals and countless species of birds. This boat is perfect for all ages (Responsible adult required) All safety kit provided. Maximum 8 on board.
Price - £90 per hour (Minimum of 2 hours)
The modern day banana boat. Ringo Rides are the most exciting and extreme way of getting onto the water. The ringo is pulled up and down the bay by our powerboat, driven by our quallified driver and accompanied by a spotter. All safety kit provied.
Max 4 people – Minimum of 3 or £30.
Price - £10 per person – 15 mins.
Sea kayaks are the fast and simple way to get onto the water. The sea kayaks are very stable, and easy to use. They come in both singles (1 seater) and doubles (2 seaters). No bookings taken for the kayaks, first come first served basis. Must be able to swim. Bouyancy aides provided and must be worn at all times.
Price – Singles £5 per ½ hour.
Doubles £10 per ½ hour.
The pedalo is the family fun way of getting onto the water on a beautiful sunny day. Super stable. Seats 2 adults and 2 children. No bookings taken for the pedalo’s, first come first served basis. Must be able to swim. Bouyancy aides provided and must be worn at all times.
Price - £20 per half hour.
Padle Board (SUP)
Stand up paddle boarding is the latest trend. A fast and fun way of getting onto the water if you don’t mind getting wet! It’s also great exercise as it builds your core muscles. The boards are very stable and simple to use. Must be able to swim. Bouyancy aides provided and must be worn at all times.
Price – £20 per hour.
Little Pirates Club
A week full of fun activities for the little ones and some piece and quiet for the adults!
5 x 2.5 hour sessions Monday – Friday 1:30 – 4:00. Includes sailing, kayaking, ringo rides, paddle boarding & much more! Ages 6-10
£260 per child.
